Mission Alabama

Strategic Bridges

Picture

At Mission Alabama we bring more people together than any other organization in central Alabama. Building bridges between people that are separated by race, geography, denominations and class is our focus. Over the last ten years we have built bridges with several hundred institutions and community based organizations that serve individuals and families living in poverty. These relationships of trust enable us create partnerships that would usually take several years to build. As a result, the program effectiveness of our service partners is increased in the first twelve months.

We serve you by aligning volunteer opportunities and financial investments in a way that builds capacity within the community of need.

We serve you by building collaborations that meet the holistic needs of the individuals and communities that we serve.

We serve you by helping you make sure that your non-profit strategy has a grassroots component that provides access to the targeted community.

We help you reach literally thousands with your efforts as opposed to dozens.

We build extensive networks that are sustainable.

Reach My City is an online  community-wide initiative that strategically connects organizations that meet  the needs of the poor in order to maximize resources by preventing duplication of services. This system features shared case management that can be used during times of disaster as well as meeting the basic needs of individuals and families throughout the year.

ICAREBHAM is an online volunteer  website for individuals and organizations seeking to establish short-term or  long-term volunteer relationships with community-based organizations. The  goal is to customize the volunteer experience for the long-term philanthropic  strategy of the organization.
